June is a beautiful month for a wedding. June is also an unpredictable weather month. All week we (photographers, parents, bride & groom) had been watching the weather and were happy to note that this beautiful day was going to also be clear and bright. When the day arrived, we had overcast and some raindrops (okay, and times of lots of raindrops at once). The weather did not dampen the beauty of the day. As you'll be able to see, the bride was gorgeous. The groom, handsome. The day, full of expected and unexpected fun.
The dress was beautiful. The rings were shiny. The flowers were bright and cheery. Were there a few nerves? Of course. The biggest challenge was waiting the bit of time from arriving at the church to the start of the ceremony.
Ceremony over and our bride and groom were Mr & Mrs! Formal portraits and some fun in the park followed.
As a photographer, weddings are big tasks. That said, it was great to have a fellow photographer, Ben - Ben Baeb Photo, be able to join in the event from the first meeting with the bride and groom. The day was a collaborative effort. Styles blended and we had an amazing time. We may have also sampled the wedding cake that we cut, as well. I mean. It was our newly found responsibility and we had to make sure it tasted great! Good thing that the wedding couple and guests could dance off the sweet calories.
Our final location stop for the day was just a short one but provided a phenomenal atmosphere. Historical and classy. Kind of felt like what one would imagine a speakeasy of the day to feel like. Check it out...
This wedding day, folks, was sealed with a kiss.
